Cobargo Arts Music and Culture is excited to bring you the talented Lucy Wise who is an award-winning singer-songwriter with a voice that pulls hearts out from the shadows, whilst effortlessly blending acoustic, traditional folk, roots and pop sounds.

Her forthcoming record Salt is inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchell and Madison Cunningham, sitting comfortably between the intimacy of traditional folk and the clarity of modern pop.

Diving deep into ‘90s pop and alt rock sounds, Salt draws on music Lucy heard on the radio as a kid, including artists such as Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow and Crowded House.

It explores diverse topics, from op shopping to life in regional Australia, to power dynamics and imagining people at a party as glowing sea creatures. Lucy tells stories, with humour and a whole lotta heart, of everyday moments that shape us.

You can hear her on Saturday 26 September from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm in the Cobargo Showground Supper Room. Tickets are available through the Humanitix website (‘Lucy Wise’ in ‘Cobargo’).

General Admission will be $30.00 and Yuin Folk Club Members $25.00.
