Horse Riding
Hallie and Lacey spent ten days in Sydney competing at the ENSW Southern Cross and the Show Hack Council Grand Nationals. Lacey received Champion in the Leading Rein and a first in the ridden competition. Hallie received Champion Rider 5-9 years old, Champion Small Hunter Pony, Runner-up in the Large Galloway Hack and Champion Small Open Pony and finished in the top ten in all her other events. Both Hallie and Lacey have already qualified for Grand Nationals 2026 after winning at Canberra and Bathurst Royals. What an amazing experience!

AFL
Charlie participated in the 2025 PSSA AFL State Championships held at Blacktown International Sports Park 4-6 June after being selected for the South Coast PSSA team. Over the course of three exciting days, South Coast competed against teams from across New South Wales. The team performed exceptionally well, winning three matches and securing the Surfboard Cup for their division. This achievement reflects their strong teamwork and dedication. Charlie expressed how much he enjoyed the event, saying, ‘It was a great experience, and I made many new friends.’ The championships provided an opportunity for players to connect with other young athletes, fostering friendships that extend beyond the game.
Dance
Congratulations to Lily, Zoe and Demi for being chosen to participate in the State Dance Festival as part of the Far South Coast Primary Dance Ensemble. They performed at the Seymour Centre in Sydney during Term 3. The ensemble showcased the remarkable talent and commitment of dancers from regional and rural south and west areas. All three students attend dance schools in Narooma and Bermagui and having the chance to represent their region in such a major event is truly outstanding.

Spelling
Neve participated in the Premier’s Spelling Bee State Titles held on Friday, 7 November at the Q Theatre in Penrith. Representing Cobargo Public School in the Junior division, she competed against other students in her age group. Neve advanced to the third round, correctly spelling ‘sanctuary’ and ‘mosaic’ before being eliminated on the word ‘sympathy’. Her impressive performance placed her among the top 27 spellers in the state. Throughout the competition, she showed great sportsmanship by encouraging her fellow contestants. The event received media coverage from SBS, Channel 10 and the ABC.
