Oh, Mumma

Oh Mumma, An Ode to Early Motherhood is an exhibition in the Sideroom at the Lazy Lizard Gallery, Cobargo, for the month of December 2025 by Tia Ofu Fereti.

It is a watercolour series celebrating the beauty between mum and bub – the softness, the sweetness of those quiet moments, the snuggles, songs shared in the wee hours, the magic of motherhood.

My name is Tia Ofu Fereti, I grew up in Bermagui and have lived here for 24 years. I became a mother to my little Mana on 9 September this year by the fire at 6.12 pm. He is the inspiration of this exhibition, every painting has been done with him by my side.

Here’s to all the mummas out there, you are magic! You are loved! You are so incredibly powerful! Thank you.

The Triangle, a not-for-profit, local, community newspaper, comes out on the first day of every month except January. Published since 2002 we have a print circulation of 1800, with a larger circulation over the summer holiday season. Our paper is free and available in print and online. If you live outside the Triangle area, an annual subscription of $45.00 will cover delivery of all 11 issues.
