My Triangle 2009.07

Brock was born in Bega Hospital on 18 January 1998 and has lived in Bermagui all his life. He is a local sporting icon, equally at home in the surf or on a football field. He is a member of the Bermagui Board Riders, winning their 2007/08 junior competition and finishing runner-up in 2008/09. Dave Bennett, boomerang

My Triangle 2009.06

Dave lived in Bermagui 20 years ago and loved it. He was really keen to return to the area and three or so years ago did just that, and became the proprietor and licensee of Pam’s Store in Tilba Tilba. He has no regrets regarding his boomerang relocation. From day one, the locals greeted him and his family warmly and made them welcome in their new surroundings.

What type of work do you do?

I have my own consulting company, and work as a strategic facilitator on social and environmental issues with large … Read more »

My Triangle 2008.12 Nicky came to live in Central Tilba at the age of 14 with her parents, Simon and Linda Simpson. After completing high school in Narooma she set off to travel the world and, in her words, ‘to find somewhere better than Tilba’. After many years (approx 14) and many jobs and experiences in which she became a jack (jill?) of all trades and a master of none, she and hubby Ian (Hoots to some) settled in Central … Read more »

Ros Ruth and 27 years at Quaama Store

My Triangle 2008.11

Quaama in 1981 was a much smaller town than it is now. Houses were sparse and trees were even sparser. It was a far cry from the Hills District in Sydney. But it was here that Ros Ruth and her husband Greg decided to lay down some roots.

They’d been looking for a small business to buy, somewhere they could be at home for their young children Kylie and Mark after school and during the holidays. They … Read more »
