Donna Latters Chocolate Cake - The Triangle Community Newspaper

125g butter
1¾ cup SR flour
1¼ cup caster sugar
¼ tsp bicarb soda
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tbsp cocoa

Place all ingredients in bowl and beat well until the mix changes colour and all ingredients are combined.
Pour into a greased and lined 20cm tin. Cook in a moderate oven about one hour, until cooked (if when pressed lightly in the middle the sides come away from the tin, the cake is ready).

The Triangle is a community paper, principally for the region bounded by the three prominent mountains: Peak Alone, Gulaga and Mumbulla. The Triangle, a not-for-profit, local, community newspaper, comes out on the first day of every month except January. Published since 2002 we have a print circulation of 1800, with a larger circulation over the summer holiday season. Our paper is free and available in print and online.
