Botanical Impressions
This is my exhibition of botanical contact printing on fabric at the Lazy Lizard Side Room during March 2026.
I have a passion for textiles. I weave fabric, explore traditional surface design techniques including botanical contact printing, shibori resist dyeing and katazomi printing using stencils and rice paste resist, working primarily with indigo and natural dyes and I sew to try to create beautiful, practical pieces.

Theatre Onset is preparing to stage an Ancient Greek classic, Lysistrata: A Woman’s Translation by Drue Robinson. This version of Lysistrata is the only modern adaptation of Aristophanes’s classic comedy that is entirely in rhyme.

Nicole Grimm-Hewitt’s December exhibition ‘Art in the dining room’ at Harbourview House in Bermagui showed her new works inspired by a recent trip to South Australia. The new watercolour series focuses on the red dirt of the Flinders Ranges, the vibrant colours of the crops and the Eyre Peninsula coastline. It was on this trip she discovered a new way of exploring these landscapes through her work. Her new medium? Watercolour.
