Songs of Hope at Open Sanctuary
The little church on the hill at Tilba Tilba, Open Sanctuary, is often the place where special things happen. That Bunch of Singers, led by beloved director, Dan Scollay, have sung there many times and returns for a special concert on Saturday, 23 May at 2.30 pm.
Apart from Spring Sing and the end of year concert, the choir rarely does other performances, making this one even more special. Singing, particularly in community choirs like this one, has many benefits for those involved. Many people think they are unable to sing, and it is a complete surprise when they join a choir and, before they realise what is happening, they can sing as part of a four-part song. It is also amazing that singing in parts can happen very quickly, especially with a gifted and trusted leader like Dan. Coupled with songs that bring hope and pleasure, particularly in these challenging times, this concert is a gift to those who come to listen. The performance will be followed by a delicious afternoon tea.
Entry is by donation. Bookings can be made by emailing magnus6300@gmail.com
