Save the date – Cobargo Folk Festival 2026
The Cobargo Folk Festival is a true gem in our regional cultural calendar and next year’s festival promises to be one of the biggest and best yet.
Once again, the festival will kick off with ‘It Takes a Village’ on Thursday, 26 February – a series of performances and ‘happenings’ offered free of charge at venues around the village. More details of the events and performers will be published in the February edition of The Triangle.
The festival proper will run from Friday, 27 February to Sunday, 1 March 2026 at the Cobargo Showground. It’s a great way to catch up with old friends, sample a wide range of delectable food, browse the craft stalls and immerse yourself in the wonderful mix of music, dance, spoken word, and workshops for adults and kids alike.

The Beez
Each year, the festival team offers some of the best international, national and local acts. Highlights for the 2026 festival include El Pony Pisador, an exciting big band from Barcelona; Northern Resonance, a high-class string ensemble from Sweden; Amadí, a dynamic young Celtic band from Brisbane; and Australian favourites Crest of Crows, the younger members of the famous Pigram family from Broome, and much-loved local, Daniel Champagne. There’s music to suit all tastes from the wailing blues of Howlin’ Mitch, the pacey bluegrass of Charley Castle & the Boys in the Well, theme shows featuring the songs of Hank Williams and the Beatles, and the classy country music of Josh Cunningham and Felicity Urquhart.
Come for a weekend or just a day and catch dozens of high-quality concerts. Take your kids to Kidbargo!, watch the stars of the future at the Crossing Youth Stage, or put on your dancing shoes at the Brolga Dance venue.

Royal High Jinx
The festival is run by locals for locals, with supporting local businesses and volunteers at its heart. Early bird tickets are on sale now, with camping options and youth rates. You can also register to volunteer or to be a stall holder.
Details of performers, tickets, volunteering and stalls are on the Cobargo Folk Festival 2026 website.
