Plethora of Postcards - The Triangle Community Newspaper

Calling all artists. It’s on again! The 14th Plethora of Postcards at Spiral Gallery, Bega.

All entries must be postcard-size (A6 – quarter of an A4 page) and there are prizes for different age groups – Junior (under 12), Youth and Adult (over 21).

Postcards can be 2D or 3D. If 3D, the base size should be no larger than A6 (so no waving arms or branches, please). Any material can be used – limited only by your imagination and vision.

This year, we have two additional special sections entitled Eyes and Cost of Climate Change with even more prizes although you can choose any theme you like and submit it in your age category in the general section.

It’s a great chance for young and inexperienced artists to have a go, and for the more experienced artist to explore a new direction.

Submissions are due on 30 May.

Entry forms are available at Spiral Gallery, 47 Church St, Bega during opening hours (Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, Sat 10.00 am to 1.00 pm). You can download the forms from the Spiral Gallery website or contact us via email at spiralpostcards@gmail.com. The exhibition runs from
13 June to 8 July.

Acknowledgment of Country

The Triangle is a community paper, principally for the region bounded by the three prominent mountains: Peak Alone, Gulaga and Mumbulla. It is produced on the traditional lands of the Yuin nation and we acknowledge that this was and will always be Yuin Country. We are grateful for their thousands of years of careful and deliberate stewardship of Country and pay our respects to Yuin Elders past, present and emerging.

About The Triangle

The Triangle, a not-for-profit, local, community newspaper, comes out on the first day of every month except January. Published since 2002 we have a print circulation of 1800, with a larger circulation over the summer holiday season. Our paper is free and available in print and online. If you live outside the Triangle area, an annual subscription of $35.00 will cover delivery of all 11 issues.
