Fringe Festival in Cobargo: It Takes a Village
Thursday 26 February to Friday 27 February (morning)
Following last year’s incredible success, It Takes a Village is back and is bigger and better than ever. As the start of the Cobargo Folk Festival, the Fringe Festival transforms the entire village of Cobargo with music and art.
Busking Heats
This is a first! Cobargo will host the official Cobargo Busking Championship Heats on Thursday 26 February. Founded in Cooma in 2012, the Australian National Busking Championship has become a premier showcase of street music culture, with eight regional festivals annually.
Buskers will be selected to compete for glory and fill Cobargo village with sound from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Thursday. Winners will be announced at the Cobargo Hotel that night. You can apply to compete in the National Busking Championship on the Cobargo Folk Festival website. Applications close at midnight on Sunday 15 February. Go to the Cobargo Folk Festival website, then search for ‘it takes a village’ and scroll down the page to the applications for the busking competition.
