Crafting at Bermagui CWA
The Bermagui CWA has begun the year with wonderful energy and community spirit, and our first Tuesday meeting for 2026 saw a fantastic turnout with many new faces joining us around the table. It was a lively and welcoming start to the year, with members old and new sharing ideas, projects and plenty of laughter. We’re delighted to see such strong interest in the branch and look forward to another year of connection, creativity and community contribution.
Our next meeting will be held on Monday 17 March at 1.00 pm (postponed by one week to accommodate the Cookery and Craft Day). This gathering will be followed by an especially delicious afternoon tea as we farewell two important long-term members whose dedication and friendship have meant so much to our branch. We hope many members and friends can join us to celebrate their contributions.
Our popular CWA Mending Workshops will also return in 2026. The first workshop will be held on Saturday 28 March, with further sessions planned for 16 May, 20 June, 15 August and 19 September. These relaxed, practical mornings are open to everyone – bring along clothing in need of repair, learn new skills or simply enjoy mending in good company.
An annual CWA Cookery and Craft Competition will be held in Bermagui on 10 March at the Country Club. It’s always a highlight on the local calendar and a wonderful opportunity
to showcase the talents of our community from Eden to Batemans Bay.
If you’d like to craft in company, learn something new or lend a hand with our charity crafting, you’re warmly invited to our regular Craft Morning from 9.30 am on the second Wednesday of each month at the CWA Hall, 10 Corunna Street, Bermagui.
For enquiries or to become involved, please contact us at cwa.bermagui@gmail.com. We’d love to welcome you.
