Acknowledgment of Country
The Triangle is a community paper, principally for the region bounded by the three prominent mountains: Peak Alone, Gulaga and Mumbulla. It is produced on the traditional lands of the Yuin nation and we acknowledge that this was and will always be Yuin Country. We are grateful for their thousands of years of careful and deliberate stewardship of Country and pay our respects to Yuin Elders past, present and emerging.

Our Tilba
/in Poets Corner /by Tikka WilsonHills here, they roll
with green and gold.
Black cockies in the air with the sun,
and woodsmoke in the air with the cold.

The wall of every building will sing its unique song,
and before you know it,
you’re on Tilba Time; nothing ever takes too long.
All places here appeal to someone;

Quaama Sunset
/in Poets Corner /by Tikka WilsonThe afternoon sun through clouds did fight,
Then softened the hills in golden light.
Through trees and rooftops its last rays play,
A fiery farewell to another day.
No city skyline could better this view,
Just sunset in Quaama ~~ simple and true.

My life sandwich
/in Poets Corner /by Tikka WilsonBase solid and sturdy
strong like the Icelandic roots
topped with Danish softness
of greens, ham and cheese
spiced
with Middle Eastern
flavours and fragrances
a little touch
of European diversities
a splash of American fun
African adventure
and Asian amazement
the Australian top crust
still thin and crisp
but growing more solid
every day
yet light enough
to lift off
for adding more flavours
of the world.
